These vintage heavy weight glass grapefruit bowls were handmade by Kosta Boda of Sweden in the 1970's in their Party leaf design (now discontinued). They feature an organic raised leaf design on the outer side. The insides are smooth, and the glass is very thick. The edges of the bowls are irregular and no two are exactly alike as each is individually hand made. They measure 6.5" wide and 1.5" tall, and weigh just over one pound each. You will receive a set of four bowls.
Kosta Boda is world renowned for their quality glassware dating back to 1741. Over the years, Kosta became Sweden´s leading glassworks and manufactured all types of glass, from simple bottles to luxury drinking glasses and art glass.
These are in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. There are a couple wear marks on each that are really very hard to see unless holding them up to a bright light and looking for them (like I did). Otherwise, they look brand new. Please see all photos for condition details.
They are also the perfect size for serving desserts, candy, nuts, dips, or even serve as trinket or jewelry dishes.
Please note that vintage and hand blown glass pieces may have manufacturing flaws such as air bubbles, seams, pontil marks, and other imperfections. These anomalies are not considered damage as they are inherent to the methods and/or the time period in which they were made.
