This very unique and beautiful wine bottle decanter with holder / handle and a silver colored eagle cork stopper was rescued from the attic of an 1800's farmhouse in Pennsylvania. In researching it, I have not been able to identify it's origin or find anything close to it, but believe it is at least 50 years old if not much older based upon where it was found and the history of the home's owners. It features a two toned metal handle with filigree patterns on the bands and base of the stopper.
The eagle stopper may or may not have originally come with it, but is included. It is silver colored metal of some kind with a brass colored filigree design base exterior over the cork, and in excellent condition. The eagle does screw in to the base and can be removed.
The holder / handle is made of some kind of silver and brass toned metal, and has screws that can be loosened so it can be removed and placed on a different similar sized bottle as well. There is some minor wear / pitting in a few places. Please see all photos for condition details.
The green bottle itself is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, and measures 11 1/2" tall.
Overall, the bottle with handle and stopper is 14" tall and 6" wide.
This piece can be used as a wine decanter, or a beautiful conversation piece of bar decor.
